Different organizations take part in it with their own initiative of different programs or events. For example: Women LEAD Nepal is writing blogs and sharing quotes, photos related with anti-violence. The back ground of the quotes are orange which the color to signify that you’re against women violence. UN Women, in face book has also come up with changing profile picture where the picture is edited by certain orange template with the quote such as, “I’m against women violence” or “ say no to violence”.
Even Yuwa has taken out a special template to decorate Facebook profile picture with a quote that you’re against women violence.
“In 2016, the UNiTE campaign strongly emphasizes the need for sustainable financing for efforts to end violence against women and girls towards the fulfillment of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. … To bring this issue to the fore, the UN Secretary-General’s campaign UNiTE to End Violence against Women’s call for the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence in 2016 is ‘Orange the World: Raise Money to End Violence against Women and Girls’. The initiative provides a moment to bring the issue of sustainable financing for initiatives to prevent and end violence against women to global prominence and also presents the opportunity for resource mobilization for the issue”- UN Women.
Due to the funding falling short, the campaign, “Orange the World: Raise Money to End Violence against Women and Girls” was initialed. The sustainable development goals has mentioned financial stability of women and girls but due to lack of funds, the above campaign came into light.
